Cholet host Chalon/Saone at Cholet Arena on October 17 in an LNB regular-season fixture. It pits ninth-placed Cholet against eleventh-placed Chalon/Saone, so the two sides sit only two places apart in the table.

The most telling factor is head-to-head history, which is split evenly. Across the ten meetings on record, each side has won five. The home team has dominated the series, though: it has won eight of the ten. Cholet won at home on October 18, 2025 (98-79), November 30, 2024 (88-74), May 11, 2024 (84-77) and September 29, 2020 (91-73). Their only home loss in the sequence was 93-99 on February 29, 2020. Chalon/Saone won the most recent meeting 87-77 on January 24, 2026, and also won 105-72 on April 5, 2025. Cholet's home record in the series is a relevant backdrop for the visitors.

Recent form is a secondary consideration. Cholet's LNB results are a 97-85 home loss to Lyon-Villeurbanne on September 27, an 85-76 win at Nancy on October 3 and an 85-79 home win over Pau-Orthez on October 10. They also won 99-79 at Hapoel Holon in the Champions League on October 6, which adds to their schedule load. Chalon/Saone beat Limoges 82-74 on September 26, lost 90-77 at JL Bourg on October 3, and beat Manchester Basketball 79-72 in the FIBA Europe Cup on October 7. Both teams have combined league and continental fixtures in a tight window.
